1st week of school + first parade for us XD

ok, haha first week of school has been.. -WTH!?!?!?!?
2 tests on the first week and none of us studied during the 1 month hols, except some ppl lah... and plus all the fun i had in the holidays... once we returned to sch it was sian lor... (24th june was an especially fun day)
also, farewell for BB is going fine too... with the combined worship rockin' haha... with joyo, joyS, delci, natti, derek, jeremy and i!! very coolz!! and the student leader's camp... and lots of other fun stuff tt happened lah.. good holiday.. learned prayer stuff from church camp, and leadership stuff from the school camp.
lastly, it was wednesday afternoon when the stress began to come, because we were reminded again of the 1st parade of BB.. and thursday i received last minute notice of worship and stuff... the time wasn't enough, clearly. and there was also the A math test, which i did question 1 and 2, 3 i just drew the graph and left the rest blank, and 4 i just did part 1 and left the remaining 5 parts blank. i guess i'm gonna be screwed for it, because my concentration just wasnt there... it was all for the parade 4 hours later.
so, with the events of the first parade in my mind clearly, i can finally blog about it now... with just 1 parade's experience.. i shall write my first guide to CCA management.. "ZHNG MY UG"
---------------------------
hello hello... welcome to my show, my name kif.
this week, theme will be ZHNG MY UNIFORM GROUP. want your UG shiok? fun? then listen here... kif zhng ur cca for you suisui....

firstly, organising any event for a cca as big as a uniform group never gets easy.. its hard, and can get very frustrating and stressed for no reason, ESPECIALL IF ITS A LAST MINUTE CALL FROM AN OFFICER OR SOMETHING. well, GB also faces MANY problems like that, hence i will have to say in order to face last minute circumstances well, you'll need to be rather well trained with leadership, which is what i'm not. One may be developed over time, but still, lots of skill is needed where last minute stuff are concerned...

i'll take BB as an example, as i dont understand other UGs, after all, not many UGs are as shiok and as fun as ours... and nobody goes home saying "sian lah another bloody parade" cause in every parade, even though certain activities may be boring, there will still be fun activities.

i pulled through the worship through God, cause there was 0 practices and planning. just take 1 guitar, no plug in, 1 mic onli!! (ya i was rather -.-) and 1 singer (nat) and that was it. songs were picked by me, just 3 simple, meaningful and easy songs to start of the term with 1 guitar. chords werent even printed out...cause lazy to find. i figured it all out tt night before.. but still couldn get it for 1 part in the first song, so i thought i was pretty screwed.

worship started very fast and abrupty, and i was not nervous cause i'm pretty used to doing worship, but not when it was so last minute and chords werent in front of me..
so halfway playing, i finally hit the part i didnt know, and the music went ~~ ouch.
so off, but i was really encouraged, because my guys,.. they still sang their hearts out, (i cant tell for sure lah, but it was loud and good..) and jeremy and the guys also tried their best to help lead the younger boys by singing loudly too...

drill was also good, as the instructors were all my budds and the dril portfolio. however, yah i was quite affected with the fact tt my drill sux, and hence i wasn an instructor. but well, practice makes perfect lor.. i just have to work harder in my drill sessions...

games were fun too!! very good that the recrea team came up with something so good haha. could see the boys enjoying themselves with the HANDBALL game.. hahah..

being duty COS was horrible, but a gd experience, added with the fact that it was the 1st parade and everything was last minute, so u can imagine the stress... wahh

like i said again, practice makes perfect.. so we all needa get ready real soon for the next parade, or everything will be last minute again.. yep :D

cheers,
kif. (still brooding over A math)
